BLS Ambulances
12 in service, staffed with FF/EMTs.

Respond to "minor" emergencies based on the answer to a series of
25+ questions.  A "yes" to any question gets an ALS response.

Respond alone <=32 blocks, with fire company > 32 blocks and < 64
blocks. Over 64 blocks, a regular (ALS) ambulance is sent.

Automatic ALS run:
      If patient under 12 and over 50
      If CTA, CPD request
      911 Hang-up
      Refusal/failure to answer all questions

ALS Responses get a fire company if:
      response >18 blocks
      apparent cardiac arrest
      patient >50 y/o

EMS Plan 1
      5 Ambulances (ALS or BLS)
      1 Engine
      1 Truck
      1 Battalion Chief
      1 EMS Field Officer
      1 Asst. Deputy Chief Paramedic

EMS Plan 2 (includes Plan 1 plus)
      5 Additional Ambulances
      1 Command Van
      1 Deputy District Chief
      1 EMS District Chief

EMS Plan 3 (includes Plan 2 plus)
      5 Additional Ambulances
      Resource Hospital Physician on Call

On each plan an additional 2 ambulances can be requested.

Triage categories:
Black: Dead
Red: Critical (usually goes to trauma centers)
Yellow: Non-life-threatening (requires bed at hospital; usually patients
      on backboards)
Green: "Walking wounded"

Still alarm: 2 Engines , 2 Trucks , 1 Batt. Chief , 1 Squad (if
confirmed fire or more than 3   9-1-1 calls)

Known High Rise gets an automatic 2nd Battalion Chief.

Level 1 Hazardous Material Response: 1 Engine , 1 Truck , 1 Batt.
Chief , 1 Ambulance (ALS) Hazardous Incident Team (HIT- Team ) 5-1-1
5-1-2 or 5-1-3

Still and Box: 2 Additional Engines, 1 Additional Truck , 1 Tower
Ladder ( 4 Truck Companies Total ) 1 Ambulance( ALS ) 2 Additional
Batt. Chiefs, 1 Deputy District Chief   1 Office of Fire Inspection
Company ( OFI ) 1 EMS Field Officer

2-11: 4 Additional Engines  2 Additional Trucks  ,Then whoever else
decides to take it in.

3-11- 5-11 is a request for 4 Additional Engine Companies ,plus
whoever else decides to take in the fire.
